Christmas was great this year! Parker understood who Santa was, although he still didn't get as excited about him as I thought he would. He actually woke up pretty grumpy Christmas morning. He went to bed late Christmas Eve and woke up way to early. He is one kid who needs a full 12 hours of sleep. Christmas day was crazy as usual. We woke up and opened his presents from Santa and the gifts we bought him. My mom and dad came over to watch him open them. Santa brought him a red dragon and a castle. He really wanted this in November. A few weeks before Christmas he decided he wanted a play lizard. I told him needed to tell Santa. We went to see Santa and he wouldn't go near him. We decided that since he didn't tell Santa he wanted a play lizard he wouldn't get one. So one of the first things out of his mouth when he saw his dragon from Santa was " I wanted a play lizard". Oops! He actually still ask for it to this day. Today he even said "I want to play with my Lizard daddy" and Blake said "you don't have one" and Parker replied " yeah because Santa didn't bring me one". Maybe next year he will want to see Santa!
around Lunch time we went over to my parents house for lunch with my brother and sister in law Amy. My mom made enchiladas and we exchanged gifts. Parker got a 4 wheeler car from my mom and dad, who of course went over board with his gift! we all had a great time watching him drive it around the back yard and enjoyed catching up with each other.
At dinner time we went to Blake's aunt Sherri's house. It was a mad house! 5 kids will do that to a house. Next year Jenna will be here and we will have 6 kids running around. such a big family! parker loves playing with all his cousins so he had a wonderful time! After dinner we opened gifts and had a white elephant gift exchange. Lots of stealing going on for the hot items as usual! After that a few of us stayed around and chatted and then we headed home. Parker fell asleep in the car on the way home. we had a very busy day. Poor kid didn't really get to play with any of his toys. I like to say that the day after Christmas is more like Christmas morning for the kids. We set all his toys out so he could see them all when he woke up. He loved all his toys but most excited to break out the play-doh.
Another great year has past!
