Christmas 2014

We had a great Christmas, even though Blake had to work half of it.

The kids were spoiled once again this year. Thanks to everyone who gave far more than you should have!

For Christmas Parker wanted the new red toothless aka Alpha toothless, the jumper aka cloud jumper, a car, and a gun. He got everything he wanted and more. He was one happy kid. The look on his face when he got both dragons was priceless. I'm so glad the small things still make him so happy!

Jenna got every Leap frog toy they have out right now. I went to Walmart and added them to her wishlist not thinking she would get everything on her list. yep she got everything, I had to add more. crazy. She is covered for the next two years! and she has a birthday in less than two weeks. i really hope she doesn't get any more toys. She doesn't wear bows right now but that is what I hope she gets because once she wears them again you can't have to many bows!

This year was a fun year because Parker kind of understood what to expect for Christmas and he old enough for us to really start explain the true meaning of Christmas. We are not big on the whole Santa thing, which works out because he is terrified of him. He really understand Birthdays so on Christmas he was disappointed we didn't eat cake for Jesus'birthday.

We hosted Blake side of the families Christmas at our house this year. We had a full house and lots of fun! 7 cousins!

Jenna-11 months

Better late than  never! I figured I better get on the ball and post this since Jenna turns 1 in less than 2 weeks. Wow! I better get to planning her party too...

She is such a goofy kid and we absolutely love it! We went shopping for Christmas presents and she had so much fun. She wore these super cute glasses for us, but only for a few minutes. She really liked playing with the toys while we looked! She loves to climb all over her brother, and he kind of encourages it.

Parker loves to pull Jenna around. He is a pretty great big brother. Now any time he pulls out a blanket and lays it down, she crawls right over and lays down and gets ready for her ride.
She loves it!

If she can push it and walk with it she will. She pushes chairs all around the kitchen, her stand up toys, and buckets. Like I said if she can push it she will!
She also really like to dump out buckets and put them on her head. Silly girl!

She puts everything up to her ear like a phone. It doesn't matter what it is if it looks remotely like a phone she will pretend to listen and talk with it. Its super cute, especially when she starts jabbering like she is talking!

Jenna is completely different than Parker as a baby. She is equally just as curious but Parker would destroy and stay awhile. Jenna like to destroy and move on just as quickly as she tore everything apart. I get one thing cleaned up and she has moved on to her next destination to destroy!

The one thing both kids an probably all kids have in common is she loves to pull the books off the shelf. She doesn't flip through them but she really loves to eat them! We moved them up a few months ago but she has grown and can now reach them again. I can't move them up anymore or then Parker can't reach them. So until he grows or she grows out of this stage, I will continue to fight this battle.

She is a great eater and most nights a great sleeper. We are thankful for that! I have started to incorporate eggs back into my diet and have feed them to her several times, and she seems to have no reaction to them now. Now if we can eat dairy I would be happy! Although I don't find myself missing it very much at all anymore.

Jenna is 10 months old!

This is Jenna. Jenna is a good little girl and always very curious! If you read curious George you know that line all to well! She gets into everything and keeps us all very busy.

She loves to wave hello and goodbye! She also refuses to go to bed at a decent hour when daddy is home. naughty little girl!

She adores her brother and thinks he is pretty funny! She enjoyed the park, and enjoyed watching all the other kids. She is pulling up on just about everything and walks while holding on. She isn't brave enough to let go just yet.

When we are in the kitchen she likes to pull all the letter magnets off the refrigerator, especially after I have just put them all back on. Any time the dishwasher door opens she crawls super fast to it so she can play with the dishes.

She loves to pull all the books off the shelf, but what baby doesn't love to do that! she is such a good baby anytime we go out. Makes my life easier! at home is a different story!

two of her new faces. She likes to scrunch her nose up and suck in like she is smelling. is pretty funny if she ever does it for you! and She likes to make the surprised face, which i actually think she is copying me.

We went to six flags and Parker played a few games and won two balls. Jenna claimed them! She loves the grass and anytime she is near it she is pulling it and goes crazy. She of course always tries to sneak a few bites in, you can't take your eyes off of her. Anytime we are outside she grabs everything and it goes straight to her mouth. I can't wait for her to grow out of that stage!

Parker is 4!!

Our baby boy is 4, and we can't believe it. This year flew by so fast but we managed to have a great time even with a new addition to our family.

picture on the left. Parker's birthday party Picture on right first day of preschool 2014/15

This was the taken the Monday before he turned 4. This is all he would let me do.

We have lived in Texas our whole lives and had never been to the Cattledrive, so we decided to take Parker.
yum cake. This year I made his Ninja Turtle costume.

A few highlights of Parkers year are:

He became a big brother, and what a great big brother he  makes. Sure every now and then he gets a little rowdy and hurts her on accident and occasionally on purpose. He is a boy its to be expected. He loves her so much its so fun to see them together, I only pray they continue to enjoy each others company.

here are just a few of my favorite pictures. He is so proud to be her big brother!

He has become really great at coloring. He colors better than most kids I know and several are 8yrs +. He spends lots of time coloring and he really seems to enjoy it. He enjoys it more when we do it as a family but many times I find him off in his room or at the table coloring. For whatever reason he likes it I am ok with.

We signed Parker up for soccer this year. He enjoys playing soccer and baseball outside with us and is really good. Before fall sign ups we asked him numerous times if he wanted to play soccer or baseball. He chose soccer. The first day of practice was rough, he didn't know anyone and wasn't sure about the whole concept. after about 2 practices and bribing him to listen and participate he finally came around. When I say he finally came around I mean he started loving practice! His first game he didn't want to play, and refused to even go on the field. All I could think was I just paid 110 dollars for him to play and he won't even play! Depending on his mood really depended on weather he would play in his game at all. Some times he would only play for 2 minutes others 15. Very frustrating as the parent but he wasn't the only kid like that so that was comforting to me. His last game he went out with a bang. He did awesome and daddy had worked a part time and missed it. He was so sad. Uncle James and his cousins Ethan and Devin came to watch, so it made his last game even more special!

His soccer team. The Blue Ninja Turtles
last game, Look at him go!

He loves playing games. This past year we introduced him to Crazy 8's and Candyland. Boy! were they a hit! At first he wanted to play them all day long, and we could only take so much! I was so impressed with him once we started playing crazy 8's, he caught on so fast and it really helped him identify and learn his numbers. He is such a smart boy! We still have some work to do as far as teaching him to not be a sore loser, but I think that understanding comes with age...at least I hope!

He is part of a preschool co-op again this year. Last year we had to coax him into going some days and now we can't seem to get him to stop and say by before running off to play with his school friends. He always says he doesn't remember what he learns at school, when I ask he says "I don't know"...ugh! I do know he his actually learning because I catch him singing songs he has learned and I randomly ask him stuff like "what does the A say" and he knows. So sending him off to play and learn for 3 hours twice a week is paying off!

his preschool pumpkin patch field trip

He still loves spider man, ninja turtles but has never seen the show and refuses to when asked if he wants to. silly I know! A few of his favorite movies are Rio 1 and 2, How to train your Dragon 1. His favorite TV shows are Wild Kratts, and Oscars Oasis. He loves to play outside, ride his bike, and play in the dirt with his cars. He loves anything with water! He could have lived at the pool this summer!

Have I mentioned we have a pretty awesome kid! We are truly blessed to call him our own. Even when we want to strangle him for being a turd! We love his sweet, energetic, funny, silly, artistic, hot tempered, easily frustrated little personality! He has so many great and not so great qualities and we wouldn't change him at all! I love being able to watch him grow and mold into a little man.

We love you so much buddy!
