Just one of them days...

Today I have had a headache all day, and I have been super tired. During my lunch hour I took a 30 min nap in my car, thank goodness for the beautiful day we are having!

Other than small headaches almost everyday and being tired the only other symptom I have noticed is very mild indigestion. My guess would be the indigestion is whats making me burp. I have tums on had already and have been instructed to take a few about 15 minutes before I eat a big meal.

I weighed myself the other day and no gained weight! If you dont already know my weight...I am not telling!

Our first sonogram

Today Blake and I went to the doctor for our first sonogram! We got to see our little blob and hear our baby's heart beat. Healthy and strong. Blake already thinks we are having a girl. The more I think about it having a girl wouldn't be so bad. It just means we are going to be super broke!

7 weeks in and I am still feeling pretty good. Every now and then I will feel a little queasy but if I eat it goes away. I have noticed I feel more tired now and I eat like every two hours. Drinking and eating are a chore now. I will do what it take to keep my little one healthy!

I didn't have many questions for my doctor today...I asked about my heart rate while I am working out. She said that as long as its not any higher than 140 from here forward I should be ok. I need a heart monitor b.c the heart rate machines at the gym always read a ot higher. I also asked about my fish oil vitamins I was taking and she did tell me its better for me to stick with my prenatal vitamin only.

Just an update...

I am feeling pretty good, and I am keeping my fingers crossed it stays this way. I am inching my way closer to 7 and 8 weeks when most start to feel sick. I am praying I don't get sick. If I can remember not to over eat I think I will be ok!

I got a call from my doctor's office yesterday around lunch time. It wasn't the best news but it was good news compared to what it could have been. I was told I need to up my water intake and I have a UTI (urinary tract infection). I guess I didn't drink enough water on Thursday when I went to the doctor because I drink at least 4-6 bottles of water a day. I drink alot...I promise. I started taking my anitbotic last night so hopefully my UTI will clear up soon. I had no clue I had one.

Secrets out

Well we decided to tell our parents last night! My mom and dad are really excited. My dad of course said " I am to young to be a grandparent". oh and he is already certain our baby will be a boy. It's kinda early for that! My mom just had a conversation with our cousin saying I am never going to have grandkids. Its funny how quickly that changes! Now she can call her back and tell her the great news.

Blake's mom had a blonde moment when we told her. We wrapped a sign that says " Grand kids welcome Parents by appointment". Rachel, James and Ethan happened to be there too so she thought we just bought it for the heck of it since we knew Ethan was there. Blake had to tell her to put two and two together. Then the screaming began. It was really nice to have the whole family there for our special news.

I also had my first appointment at the Dr's office. I only saw the nurse and they took my blood and a very small urine sample. I go to the ladies room a thousand times a day and when I have to I cant.

The only symptoms so far that I feel are being tired and frequent urination. Other than that I am super!

My first appointment

Today I had my first doctors appointment. Well actually it was with the nurse. They of course wanted to take a urine sample and I couldn't go. I go all day and the one time I actually need to I can't. They took blood and asked me a ton of questions.

I am 5 weeks and 1 day preggers! I go back in 2 weeks to have my first sonogram. Counting down to March 26Th.

I still don't really feel pregnant but yesterday was my first day to feel exhausted. I have had mild cramping on and off since I found out the nurse and all the books reassure me that is completely normal. Still no sign of morning sickness and I am praying that I miss that experience!

It's early and I'm up...

I figure since I am up before 7 am on Saturday I would write a new post. I didn't sleep well last night. The first time I woke up was around 3 went to the ladies room and well what do you know I was hungry too. It took me forever to go back to sleep, just to wake back up at around 6. It's a big surprise but I don't feel tired at all. Ask me how I feel this afternoon.

It seems so unreal!

It's been two days since we got a positive test. Blake is still the only person that knows and I am dying to tell everyone! I have my first doctors appointment next week on Thursday at 2:30. I was told it will only be the nurses and they would schedule me to come back to see my doctor.

I signed up on babycenter.com and they send me weekly updates about my pregnancy. This week it told me that my baby is the size of a poppy seed. Starting now and up to the 6th week, ,my baby will begin to develop it's organs and some will also begin to function.

This is just amazing!

I am offically a blogger!

I am so excited to finally have a reason to blog! For 7 1/2 years it has just been Blake and I with our two dogs. Nothing fun to report when you don't have kids and all your family lives within 20 minutes of your house. WELL today I have something to blog about. We just found out we are expecting and we are beyond excited! Perfect timing for Blake we found out right after my 26Th birthday so now he doesn't have to buy me a new sink and faucet. Now he has a whole new list of things that need to get done!
