THE LIFE OF A COP

Blake has been on his own for two weeks! He is still having a blast and loving his new career. He always text me about the random calls he gets sent on. Police work doesn't sound boring at all. You think all they do is write tickets and chase bad guys...nope sometimes they chase dogs and cows!

He has made several arrest and one guy Blake said was hispanic and made him laugh. He had to arrest this guy for public intoxication. On the way to jail he was just talking all kinds of smack and calling Blake a rookie. How did he know he was a rookie?! He also said man "if you ain't white, you ain't right" that's what made Blake laugh! If he only knew Blake married me!

Blake teases me with his text messages about his calls. One day he sent a text that said "just caught a fleeing shoplifter from the JCpenny on 35"...sounds like he had to chase him right?! Nope he said they called him about the theft and he saw the guy WALKING and pulled over to talk to him and arrest him.

He got his first 12 (dead person). It was just an old guy who died of natural causes. Since then he said they have had at least one of two 12's a day, something about it being summer time. Blake's second 12 was a fat hispanic man, died of a heroine overdose. He was sitting in his shed in a chair chin to chest dead. He had a belt around his arm and a syringe in his pocket. DON'T DO DRUGS!

He had two girls fighting at a community pool, and then as they were leaving one hit the others car and took off. There were two guys who witnessed it but as soon as they saw it they took off running. Why run if you did nothing wrong. guilty conscious I guess. He found them and got their side of the story.

He got a call of a lady overdosing on pills. The girl that was with her saw her empty a bottle of pills into her hand and throw them in her mouth. They lady was fighting the cops and med star because she didn't want to go to the hospital. She was saying I am skitsofrantic and will kill you...they had to hold her down to restrain her and gave her a sedative to knock her out. CRAZY!

This call crack me up! He told me that for about three hours they were chasing a calf at mecham airport. It was loose on the runways. The sheriff was trying to lasso it but he couldn't get close enough. They were trying to chase it off with the cars and Blake got stuck in ditch! he had to have a two truck pull him out. how funny. He said his Sargent told him to call over the phone instead of over the radio so he wouldn't get made fun of. Even the tow truck driver was laughing. He said "tell me did you get stuck because you were chasing a cow".

Blake wasn't on this call, he was actually on his way home and heard the call come in. Another cop got a call that some guy was asleep in front of someones house. The guy didn't live there. The cop was by himself, you think oh this is simple lets wake the guy up and tell him to go home. WELL...when the cop got there he knocked on the window to wake him up. The guy freaked out and got out of his car and started fighting the cop. He called for backup and all the other officers ran code to the call. It took three officers to take him down. They tazed him twice, hit him with the baton. The baton shattered his leg, and bashed in is head to his skull and the guy was still fighting back. finally the three officers were able to put him in cuffs. They said blood was everywhere. The first cop said that while he was fighting him the guy kept saying' just wait until the cops get here" and the cop just said " I am the police, see my car". They took the guy to the hospital and he was on some drug and couldn't feel pain. He had no idea what was going on or why he was at the hospital. crazy night. another reason to not do drugs. Oh and get this... a lady across the street was video recording it the whole time, and even was yelling at the cops for hitting the guy. They were like he was assaulting a police officer. I think its stupid that they don't get in trouble for 1. not calling the police to say some guys is going crazy on him, and 2. for just standing there not helping and recording.
