I took Jenna to see her pediatrician on 2/3/14. She was 24 days old, a few days past 3 weeks. She weighed 9.1 lbs (61%) height 22 in (95%) head circ 14.3in (59%). she gained her birth weight plus some super fast!
Today we had her 6 week check up with our midwife Sue. She weights 11 pounds! we didn't measure her to see how much she has grown, but she goes back to her pediatrician in a few weeks.
Jenna is doing great and growing so quickly! Parker wasn't this big until much later. He didn't weigh 9 pounds until he was 6 weeks old. The kids are night and day! She sleeps so much better than him too! She does have her bad days though. Lately, she has been staying up until 11:30 pm, not super late but after a long exhausting day going to bed at 8 or 9 would be great! she usually sleeps 3-4 hour stretches at night, eats and will go back to sleep. Not to bad, way better than a few weeks ago when she would sleep all day and stay up until 1 or wake up at 1 and stay awake for a few hours.
Yesterday she smiled at me for the first time. It wasn't a smile in her sleep or a gassy smile either! She only did it a few times so I bet over the next few weeks we will have a very smiley baby!
